Joymen at Porvoo Folk Academy, a co-operation work “JOY IMPORT EXPORT” with underage asylum seekers
Our theme is “the joy of the import and export”, that is, what things would you like to export from Finland to your home country – and what a joy making thing you would like to bring to Finland from your home country. The issue is actual at all times and it is interesting to see how it has been worked visually. So far the joy of producing things have been pure nature, smiling faces, animals, working together, dance, … And the thing is likely to develop in everyone´s minds even afterwards…
This co-operation is voluntary and there is no clock card, but rather based on the idea of co-operation. This summer Joymen and Porvoo Folk Academy offer the Porvoo visitors and local inhabitants the work “Joy Import Export” in the corner of Runberginkatu and Lukiokatu and the inner yard to be seen until the end of August as part of Porvoo Pre Triennial (website is www.porvoontriennaali.fi)
Ilomiehet Borgå Folkakademilla tekemässä yhteistyöteosta ” JOY IMPORT EXPORT ” alaikäisten turvapaikan hakijoiden kanssa
Teemanamme on ”ilon tuonti ja vienti”, eli mitä asioita haluaisit viedä Suomesta kotimaahasi ja muuallekin – ja mitä ilo tuottavia asioita haluaisit tuoda Suomeen kotimaastasi. Kysymys on ajankohtainen aina ja se miten se välittyy kuvina on mielenkiintoista nähdä tällä viikolla. Iloa tuottavat asiat ovat toistaiseksi olleet puhdas luonto, hymyilevät kasvot, eläimet, yhdessätekeminen, tanssi, … Ja asia kehittynee tämänkin viikon aikana…
Tämä yhteistyö on vapaaehtoisuuteen perustuva eikä meillä ole kellokorttia vaan enemminkin yhteistyöhön perustuva ajatus asioista joita täksi kesäksi haluamme tarjota Porvoon kaupunkitilaan ja Svenksa Folkakademin pihapiiriin koko kansalle nähtäväksi aina elokuun loppuun saakka osaksi Porvoon Esitriennaalia ( jonka kotisivut ovat www.porvoontriennaali.fi )
