I explore the structures of the society through drawing landscapes. I am interested in the concept of landscape, and in the relationship between drawing and photography in representing it. I do not draw landscape just for the sake of it, but rather draw it as a space and a place that we all share; and which sets framework for life, and forms the preconditions for thought. Landscape is a background and a space for something that could appear and be picture of that which has been built. In my work, I use different kinds of drawing and printmaking methods.

Käsittelen maiseman kuvaamisen kautta yhteiskunnallisia rakenteita. Olen kiinnostunut maiseman käsitteestä sekä valokuvan ja piirtämisen suhteesta maiseman kuvaajana. En kuvaa maisemaa maiseman vuoksi vaan tilana ja paikkana, joka on kaikkien yhteisesti jakama tila; joka asettaa raamit elämälle ja muodostaa ajattelun ennakkoehtoja. Pohdin sitä kuinka maiseman kautta voi kuvata yhteiskunnallisia teemoja, maisema on tausta ja tila jollekin, joka voi ilmaantua esiin ja olla kuva siitä mikä on rakennettu. Taiteellisessa työskentelyssäni käytän erilaisia piirtämisen ja taidegrafiikan tekniikoita.
