Angel Mix
Porvoo Art Association is celebrating it´s 50 years birthday this year. We are open to everyone and are promoting of local culture and arts.
To mark the anniversary we have designed a communal open-air installation, which is open all summer. People from all ages have been participating our project; Porvoo schools, day care centers, service homes and several institutions.
The project has the working title “Angel-Mix”. The theme is therefore an angel, everyone having own relationship and ideas about Angel.
What exactly is your angel? What will bring you security, comfort, care? Let´s say,
neighbors, great aunt, sister, brother, tree, sun, star, campfire?
Tell through drawing who, what and what kind is your angel.
Angels are “flying” from the end of May at the Porvoo cathedral’s yard, where they will remain
during the summer months. Angels will be decorated in 2-10 meters height.
The aim is to create to a common urban space a positive spirit. At the same time we will create
A communal work of art in which everyone can participate .
We will create a common space, state of mind and different ideas connecting us with good.
